Hyperinflation IAS 29-pr3 Characteristics of hyperinflation (1) cumulative inflation rate over three years is around 100% or higher (2) more stable foreign currency is preferred for the following (3a) wealth is kept (3b) monetary amounts are considered (3c) prices are quoted (3) interest rates and wages are associated with price index (4) credit sale price is significantly higher than cash price, to make up the change in purchasing power over the credit period
